05 — Treatments & Procedures

Advanced endoscopic treatments.

Endoscopy

Gastroscopy (Endoscopic Procedures)
Upper endoscopy using a thin, flexible camera to examine the esophagus, stomach, and upper small intestine — for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. State-of-the-art procedures with patient comfort prioritised.

Endoscopy

Transnasal Gastroscopy
A minimally invasive endoscopic procedure allowing comfortable examination of the upper digestive tract via a thin, flexible endoscope through the nose instead of the mouth — gentle and well-tolerated, ideal for patients who find conventional gastroscopy difficult.

Endoscopy

Therapeutic Gastroscopy
Advanced endoscopic procedure used to treat a range of digestive conditions — bleeding ulcers, esophageal strictures, polyps and tumors — with state-of-the-art techniques that manage and resolve gastrointestinal disorders without major surgery.

Advanced Endoscopy

Radiofrequency Ablation for Barrett's Esophagus
An advanced minimally invasive treatment designed to destroy precancerous tissue in the esophagus. Barrett’s esophagus is a condition in which the normal lining is replaced by abnormal cells due to chronic acid reflux. State-of-the-art RFA technology significantly reduces the risk of esophageal cancer.

Diagnostics

Impedance Reflux Monitoring & Bravo Capsule Studies
Advanced diagnostic procedures used to assess acid reflux severity and identify underlying causes of GERD. These state-of-the-art tests provide detailed insights into acid exposure, esophageal function and non-acid reflux episodes — allowing precise treatment plans.

Diagnostics

High-Resolution Esophageal Manometry
An advanced diagnostic procedure designed to assess esophageal motility and function. Crucial for diagnosing swallowing disorders, GERD, and esophageal motility disorders such as achalasia and diffuse esophageal spasm — using state-of-the-art high-resolution technology.

Colorectal

Haemorrhoidal Banding
Also known as rubber band ligation — a non-surgical procedure designed to effectively treat internal hemorrhoids by placing a small rubber band around the base. This cuts off the blood supply, causing the hemorrhoid to shrink and fall off naturally. Safe and effective without invasive surgery.

Pain Management

Nerve Block for Chronic Abdominal Pain
A specialised pain management technique designed to provide long-lasting relief for patients suffering from severe gastrointestinal discomfort. Uses ultrasound-guided injections to target specific nerve pathways responsible for chronic pain, effectively reducing discomfort and improving quality of life.

Pain Management

Abdominal Wall Injections
A minimally invasive pain relief treatment designed to target trigger points and inflamed areas in the abdominal wall. Particularly effective for chronic abdominal pain related to nerve entrapment, myofascial pain syndrome or post-surgical discomfort — precision-guided injections for effective, long-lasting relief.

Weight Management

Endoscopic Intragastric Balloon Placement
A non-surgical, minimally invasive weight loss solution designed to help patients manage obesity by reducing hunger and promoting portion control. A soft, saline-filled balloon placed inside the stomach creates a feeling of fullness and supports weight loss efforts.

Colorectal Screening

Colonoscopy & Endoscopic Polypectomy
A minimally invasive endoscopic procedure used to examine the colon and rectum for abnormalities such as polyps, inflammation and signs of colorectal cancer. Detected polyps are removed immediately using endoscopic polypectomy — reducing the risk of progression to colorectal cancer.

Colorectal

Botox Injections for Anal Fissures
A non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment designed to relax the anal sphincter muscle, allowing fissures to heal naturally while alleviating pain and discomfort. A safe, effective alternative to surgical intervention for chronic anal fissures.

Diagnostics

Video Capsule Endoscopy
A pill-sized wireless camera the patient swallows, capturing thousands of images as it travels through the small bowel — the part of the digestive tract traditional endoscopy can’t reach. Used to investigate obscure GI bleeding, suspected Crohn’s disease, polyps, and tumours of the small intestine. Painless, no sedation required, and the capsule passes naturally.

Therapeutic Endoscopy

Endoscopic Balloon Dilatation
A minimally invasive procedure that gently stretches open narrowed sections of the digestive tract — esophagus, stomach outlet, or intestine — using a balloon passed through an endoscope. Used to treat strictures from acid reflux, achalasia, post-surgical scarring, or Crohn’s disease — restoring normal swallowing and digestion without surgery.

Therapeutic Endoscopy

Endoscopic Injection Therapy
Targeted injections delivered through an endoscope — including Botox for esophageal motility disorders such as achalasia, sclerotherapy for bleeding ulcers and varices, and steroid injections to prevent stricture recurrence. A precise, minimally invasive way to treat conditions that would otherwise require surgery or repeated procedures.

Emergency Care

Emergency GI Bleeding Management
Urgent endoscopic treatment for upper and lower gastrointestinal bleeding — including bleeding ulcers, esophageal varices, and angiodysplasia. Endoscopy with banding, clipping, sclerotherapy, or thermal coagulation to stop the bleeding, locate the source, and prevent recurrence. Available for urgent referrals from other clinics and hospitals.

Questions, answered

Common questions about gastroenterology consultations, endoscopy and booking — answered upfront so you can plan your visit.

When should I see a gastroenterologist?
Consider a consultation if you experience persistent abdominal pain or bloating, acid reflux / heartburn (GERD), chronic diarrhoea or constipation, blood in stool, unexplained weight loss, abnormal liver tests, a family history of GI disease, or are due for screening (colonoscopy or cancer prevention). Early diagnosis prevents serious complications and significantly improves long-term outcomes.
Our gastroenterology team cares for the full spectrum of gastrointestinal and hepatological conditions — IBD (Crohn’s & ulcerative colitis), IBS, GERD and reflux, liver diseases and hepatitis, biliary disorders, motility disorders, malabsorption, hemorrhoidal disease, and GI cancer screening — supported by upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, video capsule endoscopy, and advanced therapeutic endoscopy.
A valid ID, insurance details if applicable, and any recent test results — blood work, imaging, prior endoscopy reports, biopsies, or specialist letters — plus a current medication list. If you’ve been managing a chronic GI or liver condition, please also bring related care notes.
Yes. Our specialists routinely review complex cases — including IBD, liver disease, persistent GERD, and unexplained GI symptoms — referred from other clinics and hospitals. Send your imaging, reports, and prior treatment history on WhatsApp and we’ll book a second-opinion consultation with the right specialist.
