Dr. Kate is a UK trained Consultant in Family Medicine with a special focus on Sports Medicine.
She has worked with international teams including with Team GB as one of the team Doctors at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, with British Swimming throughout 2017-18, and continues to work with World Rugby. In the past she has worked with Scottish rugby, football and also practiced at the Scottish Institute of Sport. She has worked at five major multi-sport games, including Rio 2016 and London 2012 Olympics, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth games, Baku 2015 European Games and as Chief Medical Officer for the Great Britain Team at the Youth Olympics in Tbilisi 2015.
In the Summer of 2016, Dr Kate travelled to the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games with the Great Britain team where she worked as one of five core team doctors providing care to athletes both pre-competition and for the duration of the games. She continues to work with various international teams including world rugby and swimming, both in Dubai and abroad.
Prior to specializing in sports medicine, Dr. Kate worked in the UK as a partner in a family medicine practice giving her an excellent general medicine background and allowing her to treat patients holistically.
Dr. Kate was one of the first to complete the International Olympic Committee Diploma in Sports Medicine. She earned her Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Edinburgh, Scotland.
